There are four different types of driving licence issued by RTO:-

Permanent Licence- As soon as your 6 months trial period is over RTO will issue you with your permanent licence. The age of the applicant should be 18 years. This licence is issued for your vehicles and if you are given this then it means RTO has passed you in your driving skills.
Commercial driving licences- This type of license is issued to people who drive heavy vehicles like trucks and this type of vehicle is responsible for taking passengers and goods. Hence the eligibility of such type of vehicle is different as to attain this the person should pass the 8th standard.
International driving permit- iIf a person needs an international driving permit it means that they can drive any vehicle in foreign countries and this is given only to those people who have permanent licenses. Their validity is only for 1 year after that the person has to renew it.

Step 11: Select the ‘Change name in DL’ and click on the proceed button.

Step 12: Now you will move on to the next page where you should make the required change and click on confirm button.

Step 14: You will view the form along with the requested details.

Step 15: Now you will have to upload your photo, signature, and other documents.

Step 16: Now at last you have to complete your procedure by making the payment.

Steps to Change name on Driving Licence Offline Mode

If the applicant is not comfortable with changing their name online, then they can try by following the below steps offline.

Step 1: You have to visit your nearest RTO where you have received your driving license.

Step 2: Now you have to get approval from the office to change your name in DL.

Step 3: Next, you have to collect all the necessary information from the Data Entry Department.

Step 4: Make the payment at the fee collection counter
