Step 2 – Mention the following details in the Cyber Crime Complaint

Step 3 – For victims of Online Harassments, you can report it to the nearest Police Station and a legal counsel can be approached to assist you. You might also be asked for certain documents regarding the complaint but it will depend of the nature of cyber crime.

Step 4 – If you don’t have any Cyber Cell in your city, you can file a Cyber Crime FIR at your nearest Police Station. In case if they don’t accept the complaint, you can approach the Judicial Magistrate of the city or the Commissioner.

Step 5 – Some Cyber Crime comes under the Indian Penal code which means you can lodge an FIR for such crimes at the nearest police station. Such crimes are also classified as Cognizable Offenses. For such offenses, a warrant is not necessary for making an arrest.
