Why the Passport is required?

All the citizens of India who want to travel to foreign countries require a passport. The same applies to infants as well.

Passport Categories

There are 2 categories of passport and an expert passport agent will help you out with either of them.

ECR –  All those citizens who don’t have 10^th certificate or falls below literacy line comes under the ECR category

Non-ECR – Those citizens who have the education documents of 10^th or above fall under the non-ECR category

Procedure to Apply for Passport

• Submit the Application form (Completely filled)
• Deposit the Fee
• Verification of original documents in the passport Seva Kendra
• Police verification
• Delivery of Passport

Documents Necessary by Passport Agent

A passport agent will require the following documents for the issuance of passport.

Current Address Proof

Here is a list of documents that are accepted for Address proof

• Water Bill
• Telephone Bill (landline or post-paid mobile bill)
• Electricity bill
• Income Tax Assessment Order
• Election Commission Photo ID card
• Proof of Gas Connection
• Certificate from Employer of reputed companies on letterhead
• Spouse’s passport copy
• Parent’s passport copy
• Aadhaar Card
• Registered Rent Agreement
• Photo Passbook of running Bank Account

Date of Birth Proof

Here is a list of documents that are accepted for DOB proof

• Birth Certificate 
• Transfer/School leaving/Matriculation
• Policy Bond 
• Copy of an extract of the service record 
• Aadhaar Card/E-Aadhaar
• Election Photo Identity Card 
• PAN Card issued by the Income Tax Department
• Driving License issued by the Transport Department of concerned state government

Documentary proof for those who belong to Non-ECR categories

Here is a list of documents that are accepted for NON-ECR

• All persons having educational qualifications of matriculation and above Matriculation or Higher Educational Pass Certificate
• For people above the age of 50 years
  • Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Authority or any office authorized to issue Birth and Death Certificate by the Registrar of Births & Deaths
  • School leaving certificate / Secondary School leaving certificate/ Certificate of Recognized Boards from the school last attended by the applicant or any other recognized educational institution

Document Required for the Issuance of Wife’s Passport

• Address Proof
• Birth Certificate or Date of Birth Proof
• Marriage Registration Certificate or Affidavit
